I have a JL 250/1 series amp as well as an ORION cobalt series amp. They are connected to a fused splitter from 4g power into 2 -8g cables. With the JL hooked up there is terrible alternator noise and turn off pop etc, as well I measure a 250-300mA current draw at the fuse link (for the JL) when the car, and stereo are completely turned off. switching the amps, grounds cables etc makes no difference, I constantly get a parasitic drain from this JL, even if only the power and ground are connected, no speaker or remote lead. This amp has been replaced once on warranty because of the exact same problem, the people in the shops I show this to say it's not the amp, I called JL technical support they say they have never seen this before so the likelyhood of this happening twice is very slim.  What I do know is that if this amp is connected, the battery drains rather quickly, when it's not connected the battery is fine. When it's on, it seems to work fantastic, (12"W3 pounds great), Why the hell is it draining the battery when it's off! I am very frustrated,JL amp drawing current when off? -- posted image. if anyone else has heard of this or seen it before please help!

you sould try pulling the amp and bench testing it on a power supply, and then if you have the same problem you know that is has to be the amp, and then call them back!!!

sounds like it has to be the amp and you are being given the run around

electronics run off of smoke, when you let the smoke out they stop working

You've already found the problem!  you have 300mA, you say? The amp is indeed drwing current when it clearly has no business doing so.

I wouldn't be surprized if they looked at, then sent the same one back to you.

Yeah you guys are right, I'm just in denial because this thing cost a lot of money, never worked right from the beginning and now the warranty is up. I'm gonna go get it tested today. Thanks .
