I would check pioneer's web-site and look for the specks on a box for them. They'll tell you the best dimensions for your subs.
A good tip is to use at LEAST .5" MDF when constructing your box.

Not really foam, but that stuff that they use to spray truck-beds with... Rhino lining, that's it. Or regular nylon or wool batting. You can buy that at Home Depot.

By foam I assume you mean polyfill.  You only need to use that if your box is to small, becasue it fools the subs into thinking the box is bigger then it actually is. Therefore, if you build your box to spec you should not need to use polyfill.  If the subs dont have a manual with them, you should be able to find the specs on the pioneer site.

2nd time, guy... start a new thread for best responses.  But third time's a charm, right?  Start here:  https://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/boxes.asp

Then start a thread with all the specifics of what you are trying to do.  You'll get some good feedback on this forum.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

Sorry, you can NOT post a reply.
