I was wondering if anyone has had any infinity subs installed.  I was thinking about buying the infinity kappa subs, 300 watts rms, 1000 watts peak.  I just wanted some feed back on these subs on their performance.  They look pretty nice and infinity makes could component speakers, but I never heard their subs.  I dont usually hear too many people talk about infinity subs.  How would u compare them to JL, Rocford, MTX, Kicker.....? Thanks....

I have a Kappa Perfect 12.1D installed in my car. I'm feeding it 500 watts RMS, and it performs great. The sound quality of this sub is amazing. The only complaint I have with it is the frequency range. Above 90Hz sounds pretty bad and below 35Hz can get a little sloppy.
Never heard any JL's, Rockford, or Kicker's so can't compare
Infinity's IMO are better than MTX's

Ive only heard one or two systems with Infinty subs, but they sounded really good. You wont get the SPL a Kicker will give you, but the SQ is better then all the other companies you listed, except for maybe JL. I say go for the infinitys, you wont be dissapointed.

I like my Infinity Perfect Kappa 12.1 better then my MTX Thunder6000. I was pushing 360watts RMS to both.

SPL - Sound Pressure Level, a measurement of how much pressure is created. Measured in dB. More popular than SQ, it takes doubble the power to increase the measurement by 3dB.
SQ - Sound Quality, a subjective and objective test of how accurate sound is reproduced, imaging, staging, and overall clarity. Not as popular as SPL.
