My neice just bought a 92 prelude and she wants to change out the stereo to an aftermarket HU. Is there something that has to be done with the anti-theft stock unit. I think a remember something I may have heard a long time ago about these. I can't seem to find a installation kit for this car either. Any body have any info?? Thanks in advance.

You need to know the code for the factory unit so you can power it up when you reinstall it.  It should be listed in the owners manual.  If you don't have the owners manual, call the honda dealer with your VIN and the serial # from the HU to receive the code.  Safeguard it for later use. You will need a kit and a harness for the aftermarket HU.
Do it right the first time
