Dodge Ram Power Locks

I'm trying to install a Crimestopper 2001 on my 1999 Dodge Ram Quad Cab.  I have hooked up the door locks as stated in the instrucions with the positive trigger locks.  When you arm and disarm the system you hear the relays working, and hear in faint click in the doors, but the locks do not move.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  The door locks are my last obstacle and it will be over.  Thanks for your time and help.

You need to add 2 relays inline of the Crimestopper and the door locks themselves. Go to this: http://www.crimestopper.com/techweb/InstructionBooks/Alarm/CS2001man1.PDF and look at page 5 of the manual and it will explain how to hook up the positive door lock wires.

Hey Jeff, I'm stumped at the same point on the same make and year truck. If I unplug the mulitpin connector in the driver's kick I can inject +12 on the lock and unlock wires are everything is cool. However, when I plug the connector back in all bets are off. When I inject +12 on either wire both doors lock. The really weird part is I can measure +12v from the driver's door switch and it all works.

I am reluctant to wire as a positive 5-wire since I am hearing factory relays clicking at the middle of the dash. This truck doesn't have a factory keyless but it does lock the doors at 15 MPH.

Have you found that you need to install relays for a 5-wire system in the switch to factory relays?

That model year uses a split system:

Lock - ORANGE / PURPLE(violet)( +Pulse)

Unlock - PINK/PURPLE(violet)(Reverse Polarity)

Had a chance to see a wiring diagram of this truck. What I saw is that the pink / violet and orange / violet wires are connected together when the driver's lock switch is at rest. Moving the switch to either lock or unlock opens the cross connection.

It all makes sense now. Looks like reverse polarity (5-wire) relays will do the trick.
