Just recently when I use remote start, put the key in the ignition, turn it on, and hit the brake, the doors would lock, but the receiver wouldn't beep like it used to and the remote start icon stays on on the pager. Anybody know what's up?

check your brake connection...it may not be sending a signal to the brain saying you stepped on the brake....

i would suspect a bad connections first off.....

The brake function works fine. I'm talking about when I use remote start, put the key in and turn it to start, then hit the brake. When I use remote start and just hit the brake it goes off.

Did you reprogram the handheld transmitter/receiver?  Sounds like you may have turned off the page funciton on it.  Check the user manual and set the functions again on the handheld transmitter.

Yesterday trying to fix the problem I unplugged the antenna and took out the battery from the pager. A few hours later I plugged back in the antenna, put the battery back in the pager, and reprogrammed it, same problem. It pages me when the alarm goes off and those types of things.

let me see if i get this.... when you remote start it and then get in and step on the brake the car dies and the tail pipe icon shuts off on the remote denoting that it is no longer running..... BUT if you remote start it, cycle the ign to on and step on the brake it does not shut off the tail pipe icon?

Just tried without putting in the key. Stepping on the break kills the motor but the icon remains until i arm.

Yea those remotes will mess up if you tend to drop them on the ground a lot. I suggest you take it back to the dei dealer you bought it from and ask them to take a look at it.
