no sound coming from cva-1003

there's video, but no sound.  tried searching but found results for other headunits, not for the cva-1003.  any help?

btw this is when the unit is in 'aux' mode.  radio sound works just fine.

Make sure your rca's are in the input and not the output jacks of the hu.

the cva 1003 has video in and audio in on one set  and  audio outputs for rear/sub on another.the audio out rear/sub only applies if your using a amp otherwise just use the speaker wire outputs like u'r wiring a normal HU.....

Exactly, but if there's an external source being used, he needs to make sure it's plugged in correctly.  He stated that the HU works fine.  He has no sound in AUX mode.

try the source button until aux appears on screen....not doubting u just a suggestion....

maybe try turning the volume up on the dvd player and also make sure it not muted some of these stand alone dvd player these days have a volume control.
