Im starting on a new project this weekend for a friend, its going to hold two ten inch punch stage threes under the rear seat of a 00-02 supercab lariat f-150.  The box will hold a sub on each side, and a fosgate 1001bd in the middle under a plexiglass case, he will only have this setup running when his seat is up (I keep trying to have him let me hook up linear actuators to lift the seat when he flips his amp on but the cost is too high for him, any other ideas?).  So the big question is this... I was thinking this morning that since it is going to sit flush against the front of the seat, and its all fosgate products, we could raise the RF logo under the carpet/vinyl.  I know I can make the cutout pretty easy but how hard is it to carpet/vinyl around it?  Also the local shop uses this weird fabric, I think its vinyl, looks sorta pleather-y, they generally use it on their high end projects (1000/1's with W7s and such), is this the same vinyl I would get at selectproducts or is it something else? If so where do I get it and how hard is it to work with.

Know that was a few questions but thansk a lot.

yea man,

select products has this really awesome heat formable vinyl that's just off the chain man. you'll wanna get that and the heat activated glue.  Thats what will make a job like what your trying to do really pimp. The glue doesnt get sticky at all til you start to wrap your piece with the heat gun... For more info on doing it up right buy the fiberglass #2 video. He builds these killer kick panels and wraps them with heat forming vinyl and uses the heat activated glue as well.

good luck,

lathan
