trying to help out a customer that needs to controll 2 dc motors to move an object. one for up and down, one for left to right

i've suggested using two reverse polarity wire systems, one for each motor

don't know the amperage that these motors are going to draw yet, but I doubt if they are going to pull over 30 amps a piece! so regular bosch relays should be suffient

he's asking if he can use a joystick type controll instead of 4 momentary switches, i don't see why not, but i don't know where to look for a switch like this that will have one input and outputs for each direction of the stick movement

anybody know where to find a joystick type switch like this???

maybe somebody that deals with hydraulics or airbag systems in vehicles???

electronics run off of smoke, when you let the smoke out they stop working

If you can find an Atari 2600 joystick, it would do exactly that. Plus, you'd get a fire button!
