I have a 2000 Toyota Sienna with six speaker audio system / seperate amplifier and steering wheel controls. I would like to mute the audio automatically when the van is in reverse ( I have a reverse sensor system and would like to hear the beeper without having the beeper volume too loud). I don't think I can tap into the steering wheel controls because it uses a AVC-LAN network to communicate with the headunit. I haven't checked yet, but I'm thinking of interupting the mute signal between the HU and AMP. Any suggestions?????

i'd be surprised if there is a "mute" signal between these two items.... you may want to wire up a relay to interuppt the remote turn on to the amp....., but i'd be turning the volume down each time before i did this... which would be more of a hassle than anything.....
