working on a 2001 bmw x5, cant get stereo out, someone please give me at least a hint of how to get it out and where is the factory amp at? thank you

Good chance that you are going to need the special farty little keys for it. As we generally would never see this type of vehicle here I'm also going to guess that this vehicle uses the new key system as compared to the old Ford / Blaupunkt radio removal keys. If this is the new type of system there may be 4 small slots on each corner of the factory deck, on the top and bottom, not the sides. You will need to make a hella small slender tool to slide into these locations and gentle pressure may release the retainer clip. Just a guess as we have never seen one of the cars before.
