just wondering, what would be the best placement for facing the subs, towards the front of the car, towards the rear window, or facing the back of the hatch?

Ive heard some really awsome CRx setups with the box facing up towards the hatch.  One 15" will pound like that.

I too have done 4 10's ni a ported enclosure pointing straight up. It is all about the subs you are going to be using and the box type you go with.
Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.

popular set up I see. the one I did was 2 - 12s but put the facing the rear of the car towards the tail lights. sounded loud as hell and only on a small old Punch 60 amp. I was actually jelous at all that bass.
