hey guys, i have 4 12 inch rockford HX2's, ther the old ones that say 500 rms, but there suppose to be a lot more than that, i think thre about 4 years old or so, anyways, there all dual 4 ohm, i have one memphis mc1000d and i wanna run 1 ohm load, but i know i can;t, so, if i were to get another memphis mc1000d and hook one amp up to 2 subs and the other amp to the other 2 subs, that would be one ohm, can i do that???!!!

I think you'll be ok to buy the 2nd memphis mc1000d. Check with the istallation guide and it should show you the proper way to hook up those old Rockfords HX2s to get a 1 ohm load. Should sound pretty awsome if your box design is good.

i know how to hok them up, i just not sure if i will blow anyhting up, cause 2 dual 4 ohm subs will give you a 1 ohm load, so i have 2 amps, 1 for every 2 subs, thats 1 ohm per amp for every 2 subs, i will have to guess at setting the gain to get them exact

You ahould be fine...I would suggest setting the amps with a Digital Multimeter...

Memphis says that amp is 1-ohm stable.  Go for it.  But note that it will NOT sound as good as running at 2 or 4 ohms.  It will get louder, but there will be more distortion in the system.
