Any area which is free from extreme heat / cold, RFI, EMI, HVAC vent ducts. The most important aspect of any sensor(s) installation is to obtain the most even, and consistent coverage of impacts / shock.
Other than that, ensure you affix the sensor with the appropiate fasteners.
ie. SS Screws.
