8 lbs is not enough force to pop a door consistently. if the area which you reside in, even remotely shows any signs of frost, snow, ice.
Don't even think that the soleniod will open it. Spend the extra money on the real thing. 30 lbs, is standard for most vehicle, and if yours is a old iron, using any 100 lbs soleniod will open anything.

i live in arizona...it maybe 15 pounds...but it worked before...its fairly brand new..just about 4 months...in the beginning it pulledreal strong popping it open on the first try...then it got progressively worse...

....some guy told me to use heavy gauge wire, like 8 gauge, then connect it straight to the battery, the solenoids i presumed.....but i connected the colenoids to relays from alarm to remotely open the doors...is there a difference in wiring...if there is...help
