Aiwa Installation in a '87 Accord

My stereo was recently stolen and I am currently attempting to replace the stereo on my own. I just baught an Aiwa CDC-X204 and the harness for my accord and rewired it as best as I could from the intructuins and what was left of my old harness. I baught the car used and have no clue what all has been modified, but the car had a CDC-X207 in it and still has Pioneer speakers(not sure what kind) and the old harness had whatlooked like 4 capacitors on the speaker lines(one on each + side) and what looks like a .5A adapter on the power ant. line. I wired it as best as I could but the stereo doesn't work. Can anyone help me get this thing working?

the capacitors are probably speaker savers. and the .5amp "adapter" is really just a fuse holder. the reason your radio probably doesnt work is you might have a blown fuse. check under the dash in your fuse panel. was your first radio installed at BB?

I bought the car from a private party and the radio was installed when I bought it.

I have a really coll and simple tool thats just a 12v test light. Its just basicly like a sharp pointy screwdriver looking tool with a 12v light inside and a ground wire with an alligator clip. this tool really comes in handy on factory harness to determine which wires are hot to battery and which ones are hot to ignition. This usually takes care of power supply problems to the radio you might be having. The tool is usually at any wal-mart or radio shack for about $12 - $15.
