Hello,

Trying to install a Prostart CT 3300 on a NO POWER (i.e. non powered windows, locks) on a Mecury Topaz. My wirings are as follows: (CT3300 wire colour then Vehicle wire colour); on the 6 pin harness Red 12V+ to vehicle yellow constant 12V+ (other set of red to other set of vehicle yellow). Purple starter to vehicle WHITE/ pink. Yellow ignition to vehicle RED / light green. Orange assc. to vehicle grey / YELLOW. The 5th relay green wire to vehicle's other grey / YELLOW iginition wire. And the JUMPER are set in the middle, 2nd igintion.

5 pin harness. Black to vehicle ground. Purple tach to vehicle dark GREEN/ YELLOW hooked it up near the coil by the left fender. Grey for hood switch. Orange brake to vehicle RED / green. yellow parking to vehicle brown (+).

As for the 12 pin, there's really nothing that apply to my vehicle, would that be one of the reasons why I can't it programmed?

I've read that many people are having the exact same transmitter problem, after pressing lock button twice within 3 sec, no 5 flashes. That's the problem I'm having.

Anyway, any type of help would be greatfully appreicated and remembered.

Thank you.

When you depress a button on the remote does the small light on the remote come on? have you tried resetting the module?

Yep, the remote light goes on (probably meaning there's battery juice). and yes resetted the unit MANY MANY MANY times and the park lights flashes 8 times. (meaning reset process works)

Just can't understand why it's not picking up the transmitter (like I have read a LOT of people are having problems with this brand/ model)

Thanks

open hood and tap hood switch (lights come on and stay on)
Ignition on then off.
Press and hold button 1 on remote.
wait until lights flash 5 times.
press brake, hold buttons 1&2 together, lights flash 4 times. release brake and start vehicle. when at normal idle, press and hold brake. wait til lights flash 4 times.
Now remote and tach are programmed.
IF none of this works, check your brake line and make sure you aren't feeding it from the supply side of the brake switch.
