Hi All,

Newbie here - this is a great looking site - I'm glad I found you.

I installed a ProStart CT-3300 yesterday on our '92 Pathfinder. All went relatively well until I tried installing the trunk unlock (the Pathfinder has a rear window that latches).

The signal wire from the ProStart module sends a negative pulse, while the vehicle swith is activated on a positive pulse. So thanks to your great site, I learned how to wire in a relay to reverse the pulse polarity. This worked GREAT, except that once I press the "trunk unlock" button on my remote, the negative pulse from the module seems to be continuous - keeping the latch open. In other words, I can't relatch the window until I go and pull the (-) signal wire off of the relay. If I then reattach it, the latch opens again. Once I've done this a few times, it seems the signal goes away, and all is well (until I hit the button again).

So does anyone have any ideas? I thought maybe the length of this pulse is programmable, but I can't find any instructions on this. Besides this little inconvenience, the install went pretty well.

Thanks for the help.

Hi Jeff,

Yes, I'm using the trunk release wire from the module. According to the install guide, it sends a negative pulse.
