I have a 1994 oldsmobile cutlass supreme and im installing a new deck (pioneer deh-p9300), but i cant get the deck to turn on. i used the wire diagram from
the12volt and i determined pos and neg with a volt meter. i end up with 3 to 5 extra wires.
2 green and 1 blue (cant remember the rest let me know if it would help to know)
anyone run into this problem before on this vehicle?

Not sure if U used GM adapter plug or the wires have been cut, but the only wires you should have left, if the Pioneer doesn't have "illumination, "Dimmer", or Power Antenna wire is these:

IlluminationGray
DimmerBrown
Antenna TriggerPink

U should not have Blue or Green "left over"
U may have gotten the Yellow wires crossed:
Yellow ( 12 volt + ) and the Yellow for Left Rear Speaker Ground
or the Gray wires:
Gray (illumination) and the Gray for Left Front  Speaker Ground
Otherwise check fuse and wiring again
It's probably something simple

I got the deck working, i spliced the Acc wire on the pos wire and it works, but dosent turn off when i pull the keys out. All speakers output sound and i checked all remaining wires for voltage, nothing.

Wires are like this:
ORANGE = 12 volt + constant
YELLOW = 12 volt + Ignition & Accessory
BLACK = Ground
Gray = Illumination ( when  Parking lites R on)
Brown = Dimmer ( when Parking Lites R on)
You may have a Power Antennea wire also ??
SPEAKERS:
Beige = Left Front +
Gray = Left Front -
Lt.GREEN = Right Front +
Dk.GREEN = Right Front -
BROWN = Left Rear +
YELLOW = Left Rear-
Dk.BLUE = Right Rear +
Lt.BLUE = Right Rear -
If the YELLOW wire has no voltage with key, check fuses outside & inside
U shouldn't need any other wires, if there R any left
Make sure U test with Volt meter
