On the 555L, the "Blue/Black (-) status input" is throwing me off.  What is this wire connected to?  I am installing an AvantGuard 4 from Clifford.  Any help would be appreciated.  I've used the search function, but couldn't find anything.

Thanks in advance.

I think I just figured something out.  If the input status wire needs a negative during remote start, is this a latched negative, or is it just a pulsed negative?

Thanks

Jaime

if my memory is correct. there's a plug that has 2 diff. colored blue wires along with BLACK/ white wire for the remote start and brown brake wire input. One blue wire is a sensor input i think and the other is a negative status output. You'll wanna hook the status input from the 555L to this blue wire and it'll be all nice and fine.

I'm sorry,  but I don't know what you are talking about.  Are you talking about the 555L or my AvantGuard 4?  I think my alarm has a negative output when it's remote starting, but there are several wires that do this in a different way.  I need to know if the sense input needs to be a steady negative (latched) or does it have to be a single pulse, all while the alarm systems is in the remote start mode (cranking).

Thanks.

It needs to be latched (ground when running).

Thank you all for the quick help.  I looked at my AG4 diagram, and it looks like the correct wire could be the Blue/orange that extreme1 suggested.  Thanks, Extreme1.

Again, thank you all for your help.  I'll let you all now what happens.
