I have an escort with the ford premium sound package taht i'm tring to put a deck into. problem is, i cant find the remote wire color for hte amp. any clues? its a 92 LX. i cant even find the amp anywhere.

if I remember right the "preimum" sound didnt even have an amp just better speakers. but i could be wrong. look behind the rear pannels and behind the glov box and under the seats that where most ford amps are

Took me some more looking but i did locate it. Its right below the deck. You have to remove the panels on the shifter and so on to get to it. Then i just unpluged the amp and used the Ford OEM harness to hook it all up. Back in business. Thanks for the tips jeff.
