Could someone who either owns or has worked with the new QAA-1000 and RAA-1000 amps give some input about those amps.  I want to make sure they're worth it before spending some $$ for the reference or serious $$ for the Q line.

Thanks in advance.

Rockford has bought Quart. It is highly suspect the Quart amps and the Rockfords are identicle internally. GMC/Chevy same assemble line different names. You might have more luck finding someone with the equiv. Rockford experiences since the Quart amps are new.
Personally I run Zapco C2k series. Zero faults. Also take a look at Tru Technology and Sinfoni.

I thought the design and production of quart and rockford are done completely separately.  audiocable were you stating that the insides ARE the same or just that you suspect they are?   Anyone else have more information on this?

MB Quart speakers are designed and manufactured seperately from RF.  Head Units and other electronics with the MBQ name on them are re-badged RF products.

In other words, it isn't worth paying the premium price for a "mb quart" amp...?

The Quart amps incorporate a few of Rockford's patented design ideas. TransNova and Mehsa are both topologies only found in Rockford products. Hafler is implied. Quart amps did not appear until the company was purchased by Rockford, one of the largest Amplifier manufactures. Re-badging is here to stay and is more common than we might like to believe.
Surprized Directed or Harmon didn't buy Quart. . .
Are either worth the $$$? That's for you to deside.
