Is there a way to add relays or resistors to a siren, to make it sound softer?

Does anyone know what siren it is that Clifford gives you with the AvantGuard G5 alarm?

If you put a resistor in series w/ the alarm, it will be quieter. However, the alarm generally will be quieter, not just the chirp. It'd be possible to wire a circuit that would only make chirps quieter-- basically you'd just need another capacitor (in parallel??), but that's a wee bit more complicated, and would definitely require more futzing around to find reasonably good values...

The unit comes with the 515c which can be programmed via the Cliffnet Wizard to have a soft chirp.
Get the users version of the software, or have the dealer perform the change over for you.
You have three options, off, loud, and soft chirp.
