Has anyone had any experience with these type of 2-way alarm starters? Are they any good? Reliable? What about pros and cons for them? Just wondering...thanks.

    I have nothing but great things to say other than the rather cheap looking second remote, it is made by Design Tech and their is tons of tech support from D T.

Same as the Lynx 2000R systems. Great range and good AUX channel capabilities. Tech support is lacking though from PME.

Jeff, you're not kidding about their tech support. I talked to the guy today, and he acted like it was his first day on the job. Have you had any problems with the passive arming function of this alarm? I have one that won't arm automatically. I'm setting the icon on the remote, but it still doesn't work. Any ideas?

We used to carry these, but now we have Compustar and the CS systems are MUCH better than the Lynx systems. Can you please go through the procedure that you wnet to activate the passive arming and I'll see if it's right ?

Thanks Jeff, I've tried a whole bunch of stuff, but this is what I think the correct procedure is: 1. Press the "D" button on the front of the remote twice to access the remote menu- all the icons start are shown. 2. Press the lock/unlock button (the top button on the right of the remote) until the icon with the door with sound waves starts flashing (last icon on the list). 3. press the "D" button to select this feature 4. Press the lock/unlock button to turn this function on 4. press "D" again to exit programming and save changes.

This process never worked, nor did anything else I tried. I'm also curious to verify that they do not have ignition auto-lock like the tech told me. Lastly, is it normal that the range would be less than half of the range of the CS?

That is exactly the way that I do it for the system that I have installed. I doubled checked the procedures with one that I installed for my friend and it worked like a charm.
