Fiberglass Smell

how long does it usually take for a fiberglass box to stop reaking of that fiberglass smell when the subs hit?

Expect this to be there for about 4-6 months depending on the climate your in. If it's hot, then you could have this last a longer duration, but if you want to get rid of the smell try cutting some onions in half and placing them in the enclosure overnight. Do this for 2 nights and the smell will go away considerably.

It works very well when working with oil based paints and varsol. The onion doesn't make your car smell and absorbs the odors caused from fiberglass. Give it a shot and post your results.

Onions?  Worth a try...my car has been stinkin for the past 2 weeks..and where I live it's gettin cold, but I still drive with all 4 windows down and people think I'm crazy! haha Fiberglass Smell -- posted image.
