does any one know the correct door lock wires for a 2000 ford f 150 light duty i see no pink / YELLOW wires that all the info i read says it has. I found one of the trigger wires i think it was pink/green and this wire is right but cannot find the other wire. I am getting these wires from the passanger kick panel and any info would bre greatly apreciated. there may have been a pink/orange wire but when i cut this the door locks lost everything i may have cut a power lead because they lost all operation on both doors.

Use a test light to check and make sure the wire you cut is right. I am almost positive that the pink / YELLOW is the correct wire. That was the wire in the 97 Taurus that I installed keyless entry into. I found the wires under the dash.

The pink/orange may be the one that you need. I remember the yellow did look slightly orange.

Hey mobiletoys2002... I had the same problem with a 2000 F-150 that had the OEM keyless entry. The wires were'nt where they were supposed to be. This is what I have for the F-150:

  • Door Locks ---- PINK / YELLOW  by the drivers dash in the keyless entry module. ( - ) ground type A system
  • Door Unlock --- PINK/LIGHT GREEN Passenger kick panel same system as above.

  •  Negative pulse, type 'B', on keyless entry models.
  • Five wire, type 'C', on non-keyless models, mastered from the driver switch.

either way, it will be pink/green and pink / YELLOW..

I usually get them in the drivers dash.  if they have OEM keyless, there is a module in there for neg. trigger, if not, there's a harness if you get under and look up, to the left side of the steerin column (driver side of the column) you can find the wires, wire them 5 wire
