What has been done to the stock battery to chassis ground and battery to alternator ground? Definitely upgrade all the power / ground lines to 4 gauge and follow up with what Steven posted about a good solid ground.

you need a direct wire to the amp from cap not through distro block. and also you need a short as possible ground.  if the cap is in the cab or trunk and its running all the way to the battery thats way too far. double check all grounds and upgrade to 4g wire.  Your car is brand new and alternator should have enough juice.

i've seen some people make the mistake of running the cap in series which actually inhibits power flow

make sure the cap is wired parallel.
