1999 Dodge Dakota install problem

I am installin a CD player in a 1999 Dodge Dakota with the Infinity system, I installed all the wires corrctly an did it twice, but there is no sound, the cd player turns on and everything, but no sound... any ideas as to why?

You have to turn on the factory amplifier. Use the remote on lead form the new cd player to do this. It should be on the black plug, pin#7 if my memory is correct. (end pin furthest from the tab end of the molex).

actually,if you did the harness,you probably hooked that wire up,just make sure you hooked up both the braided strap,and the black wire that was clipped to the back of the unit..and make sure you hook up AMP control,as opposed to ANT control,the sound will stop when you put in a cd! we have all done this b4,but the point is hook up the amp ground..the one on the end of the plug is right,like i said,hopefully you used a wire harness adaptor..it's obvious..
