sign/starter bypass, pleae look over, pic

Someone recently tried to steal my brothers truck, they severly destroyed the ignition. I offered to bring my brothers truck back to my home (about two hours away) and let it sit here safely. The truck is a 90 f150. Here is what I plan to do. Find the B+ wire running to the ignition switch and run it to one side of a heavy duty (35a) toggle switch. On the other side of that switch I will attach the acess, ecu, etc... I also plan on attaching a led on the acess side of the switch run to ground so I will not leave the switch on. I will then tap that same B+ wire and run it to a heavy duty push button (15a). On the other side of the push button switch I will attach the two starter wires. After I have done that I will install an on/off key switch underneath the dash on the B+ wire as a kill switch. Does anyone see a problem with this? Haha, no thats not the case, I am going to drive the truck back to my house after I do this, thats why I want to make sure this will work correctly.

i see a problem with this, ahha... the correct way to do this since the average vehicle will pull more than 35a, is for each thing you hook up after the toggle switch, attach it to a relay. so for the: ACC, ECU, MISC, with connectors soldered and shrunk wraped to the relay so theres no corrosion. doing the toggle switch thing would be the last solution i would do, but... if you cannot repair the ignition then i would go with relaysAaron

"Does anyone see a problem with this?" The problem is your relying on a toggle switch for the vehicle to run since your ignition wire is running through the switch. Say that toggle switch fails while driving, he will lose power steering / brakes / etc whatever else the truck has. Too risky if you ask me there's a reason most places don't do ignition kills.. led + high current toggle switch + high current PB switch + key switch + labor + towing 2 hours??? It's a 1990 F150 how much could a new ignition switch really cost? Mike

So your saying, run the B+ wire to a toggle, continue the B+ out the other side of the toggle spliced into three heavy duty relays and into the push button, so four splices off of the B+ after the toggle? I am sure I could pick up a used ignition from the junk yard its just the concept that you have to remove the entire steering column to replace it (according to AllData).
