I have installed an alarm/remote starter/keyless into a chevy silverado 2002.  Now the problem occured where when i got everything installed and did the remote start it started but then the alarm went off and wouldn't stop even when shut off from the remote.  I disconnected the power freom the alram to get the siren to shutup and found the reason the alarm went off was beacuse of the dome light wiring and it'ss delay which i have now fixed.  2 problems now though:

1.  The truck won't start with the passlock module or alarm hooked up (even with the key in ignition)  so i had to reconect the starter wire back together and discnect all the alarm and passlock II bypass module wires

2. when i repower the alarm it still keeps going off and won't go into disarm.

Can anyone tell me how to get the module and alarm to work again if i resplit the starter wire? Is there an order you are supposed to hook up the modul and alarm in so it will allow me start the truck again? and can anyone give me an idea on how to get the alarm outta alarm mode and into disarm so I can get the siren to shut off while i work on the alarm settings.

Thanks

FACTORY ALARM DISARM|lt.green---------------| - |-----------drivers kick *4

  • Also found in the purple plug of the BCM.
  • The BCM is located behind the drivers side of the dash. The plugs on the BCM face towards the rear of the vehicle. The parking lights are in pin A5 and the headlights are in pin A11

The above connection needs to be hooked up otherwise the the OEM alarm will be triggered.

It's not the OEM alarm it's the alarm itself as if it has been set off but it goes as soon as it is connected. Also the OEM alarm diarm is connected properly.  Any other sggestions on y the after market alarm is contunously going off even when ower is disconnected and then reconnected?  the remote won't disarm it any more either.

Is there a specific order to hook up the alarm and the module?  Should the alarm be hooked up first or the module.  Also is there signicance to when the starter wire should be hooked up?
