My sister gave me a Sony mobileES XDP-210EQ, I dont know how to use it. How am I supposed to run this? It says on here digital pre amplifier 21 band equalizer but how do I adjust it? Do I have to run this off of a Sony deck to be able to access these features? She bought it used so there's no instructions inlcuded..please help.

Don't use it unless you need it.  If your system sounds good to you, give it back to your sister.
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

Just ran a few google searches on it.  Seems like a great unit if you have a sony deck with digital out.  Do some searching and I'm sure you can find a manual.  If you take time to learn what exactly each feature does it can certainly improve your sound quality.  If used improperly it can also make your system sound like ass.  Do some research.

Learning how to use my Alpine cda7998 is already a pain in the ass. I'll probally just give it back to her...I don't have a Sony deck anyways. Thanks.

i am guessing this is just like many eq's     plug your line in rcas to it and run your fronts and rears and subs to the acording amps, and adjust till it meets your sound expectations

Thuan..........After talking to Steven and looking into it myself , its like kfr said , you have to have  not just a Sony deck but an older Sony Mobile ES deck with a digital output thats not made anymore. So unless you have one or can get one , its probly not much use to you however , If I were you I would concider selling it on E-bay or somewhere electronics are sold. I believe that thing might be worth a few bucks if its in good working condition. I wish I still had my old Sony ES deck. Id make you an offer. Sorry Dude.
