I used a 555s in a vehicle that does not respond to it(wrong one for vehicle). Can it be reused in another vehicle? Or does it retain the same code as previous.

If it was for the wrong vehicle, then it was never programmed. It can now be used in a different vehicle.

Most dei modules can be reprogrammed to a key or to the car. I haven't been able to find anything about a 555s or 555c. Here is the info for the 556C and the 556S

Chrysler transponders can only be programmed to 1 vehicle. This includes keys, DEI 555c's, trilogix modules etc....
Ford units can be programmed to multiple vehicles.
555s works on only a couple of vehicles, escape, focus and cougar...

Yes it does! I have a pku-f2 from trilogix and it says on the instructions that it can be programmed once. So my 555s is still useful. Thanks to all for the help!!
