I realize this is big flame bait, but none the less I’m looking for an answer and would like as many opinions / experiences as I can get.

I'm looking for a 2 way alarm with remote start. I would like as many aux channels as possible, for trunk and windows and at least one more; I want to be able to add fun extras.
I would like a battery backup siren and a 2 stage radar sensor. Obviously the usual starter kill, shock sensors, and probably a glass break sensor. If I'm gunna spend money on stuff for a car it's gunna be protected.
I have been looking at the Clifford Matrix 3.5, and I have installed an avital keyless RS unit before, and I like it a lot. I have heard a couple places (without anything to really say why) that I shouldn't go with any of the DEI products. I have also heard some good things about the audiovox alarms, but they make crappy everything else so I’m not sure I would trust there alarms (I'm open to being convinced otherwise).

Thanks for your help,

Gavin

My vote is for the new 900 mhz Compustar units. Great range, enough AUX channels, basic programming and also good warranty for DIY installer's that may need it. I have seen ranges for this system over 1 mile with room to spare. I like installing these units and have installed many systems and so far it's got my vote.

I like my Clifford Matrix RS 3.5, good range and nice 2 way pager. I think it has 3 outputs and you can buy a module to add 5 more :)

i'm with compustar. i recently installed one in my infiniti fx and love it. i installed many DEI alarms and in my opinion, there not as good. the range is by far the best. also, the new remote looks cool.
