Alard question for starter defeat

It says connect one side to the vehicles starter wire from the key switch then it says connect the other BROWN wire to the wire going to the starter arent theses the same wires.

U have to cut the Starter wire in half
One side of cut wire goes to???  andf the other goes to ???

I am saying arent the two starter wires the same wire I already cut the other two in half  I want to know if I put the two brown wires hooked to the starter from the ignition harness will it work

Not sure of the Vehicle in question, but Starter Defeat (Kill):
Cut Starter Wire from Ignition Switch in Half
Starter side goes to
( connect the other BROWN wire to the wire going to the starter )
Ignition Switch side goes to ( connect one side to the vehicles starter wire from the key switch )  what ever that is from your unit

So I have two brown wires both for the Starter defeat you are saying one goes to the starter and one goes to the ignition swith

This is for the 89 caprice and bothe of the brown wires im talking about go to the alarm module if that helps

O.K.
If your instructions doesn't identify which Brown wire goes to which side, it probably doesn't matter, because it is probably going thru relay in module

So hook up one of them to the ignition wire the one that is on while in on and crank please respond

Cut Starter wire ( PURPLE ) at ignition switch in Half
The side of cut wire that goes to Starter goes to 1 Brown Wire
The side of cut wire that goes to Ignition Switch goes to other Brown Wire

Man thanks alot I got it put in and its perfect looks like a pro did it the thing that took me so long was the wiring diagram that I got off of here said the starter was yellow But thanks to you I found it and that was my first time hooking up a kill switch thanks alot.
