a first good start is to run a piece of four gauge from the negative battery terminal directly to the firewall i did this and got rid of a good 80% of the noise, after this put your rcas thru a good set of transformers

Hey Wiseguy , good idea with the negative bat. terminal. Just out of curiosity , what will it do to put the RCAs thru transformers and how does that work? Wanting to learn........

Should the RCAs and the door speaker wires be run opposite of the power wire? Also its it ok for the system remote turn on to be run with the power wire?

when you put rcas thru one side of a transformer you in essence have a "floating ground"

I want to thank all you guys for your input. I will do the things everyone suggested and post the outcome later today. I went to a couple of speciality shops and I have not found the good 6XS LOC yet. Wiseguy, I agree with Rushman...a picture is worth a thousand words.

I was able to fix my problem, I took what everyone said and did my fixes one by one. I changed the ground and power cable to 4 ga. I was still able to use my high input level on the amp, but after carefully reading the instruction I did not have to use the (-) speaker wire connections. I also only had to use one loc. I suggested the audio control xover, but the person I was installing it for did not want to spend more money. I was impressed with the install as it was clean (second time around..thanks to everyone). I was not impressed with te equipment, but my friends was very happy. Thanks again.
