I am using the GM-U7 on a 2003 Yukon.  It has a green ground output that is to the alarm door trigger.  It has a +input from the dome light.  Now what functions do these server?  The only thing I can think about the door trigger is that it gets a signal over the databus when a door is open and it just makes the install easier (it least thats what I hope it does) The dome light I have no clue.  Any ideas?

not familiar with a gm u7, but all the modules i use have a + input that you hook up to the dome light and a negative output that goes to the alarm. I think that answers your question, if not pm me and i will try to help you out

Thats what it seems it does.  Just can't figure out what purpose it serves.

when you remote start and shut down these trucks the interior light comes on, this circuit prevents the alarm from triggering when you remote start and when the remote start shuts down
