remote starter - Starts then dies

On a 96 Jeep Cherokee, it is an American Accessories 2 way FM remote starter with Alarm.

The problem is that the jeep starts and then dies.  The brain is cutting the power to the 2 on wires.  Any ideas why?

Everything is wired correctly and working.  The only tough wire was the tach and I'm hitting a gray wire at the coil which showed me 4.8V at idle and increased as I increased the idle.

Please help

I didn't see any black wires on my Cherokee as the database said.  I saw gray, and two greens with stripes I forget the colors.

I know I went through the steps tho now that I think about it, I'm not sure i got the confirmation chirp.  I'll go try that.  Would that lead to the start then die problem?

OK so now this is weird.  There are 3 wires off the coil gray, GREEN/ red & black gray.   I have a gray wire which shows about 5V at idle.  I found the black and gray at the coil which showed 12V, the GREEN/ red also showed 12V

I could not get the brain to learn the tach signal with the 5V gray wire, but it did learn it with the BLACK/ gray wire (12V).  I got confirmation with the BLACK/ gray but not the gray only.

No difference tho, still starts and then dies.

BINGO - I changed the tach wire to the gray/blue by the ECM and same thing, starts then stops even after I went through the tach learning mode.  I went through the learning mode again and I let it run for 5 minutes straight and VIOLA it works.
