i have a really stupid question here... my brother in law is supposed to give me a factory flip down dvd system out of a 2004 Nissan Titan. The problem is, ONE i've never installed a dvd system...TWO, he says that all of the wires are just cut off and he doesn't know what wires go to what.. i want to put it in my 1999 F-150. i've searched far and wide for some sort of wiring diagram to go by and found absolutely NOTHING. i don't have the money to take this stuff to nissan and ask if there's any way they could install it for me..i don't even know if they would. does ANYONE have a suggestion as to how i would go about installing this thing?

You need to go to the nissan dealer or find literature on the wires for the screen.  Its probably just Acc. power and ground which should hook up easy for both the screen and the dvd with maybe some kind of remote on wire. The video signal should run from the DVD player to the screen itself.  The audio may be a problem.  You'll have to look at the back of the DVD player for the audio output.  If its RCA (which its probly not) you can run it into your aftermarket deck via the cd changer plug.  If not, you'll have to come up with some creative wiring to run an FM modulator to tune into the audio signal.

I believe the screen and DVD player are seperate units on the Titan DVD, flip down screen package.  The DVD player is mounted face plate, face up, in the center console.   The DVD player should be easy to figure out, it might have everything labeled up like an aftermarket unit.

Post pics of the wires from the back if you can.  I am sure many can identify every input/output.
