Actually, the disc 1.0 is only able to be updated to 1-15-01. That's because version 2.0 has everything after that. The intention was to be like the volumes of Omega's "The Book". By the way, it's only $29.95 from Omega. Unfortunately, I think they'll only sell to 12 volt dealers. So, any retail shop, or anyone with a business license can buy it from Omega. You don't have to be an Omega dealer to buy it. So, don't waste your money getting version 1.0 becasue 2.0 has all of 1.0 on it as well.

Nobody wanted the 1.0 Disc, and I already said that 01/15/01 was the last update. We are looking for version 2.0. As I already said, I will pay someone for the shipping and for the price of burning the CD if they would hook me up.

Yeah, I realize that. I was only reinforcing the point you made and wanted to address the $200 myth. I also wanted to make sure that no one was under the impression that they needed both. i'm sorry if it has already been addressed. I must have missed it in the thread.

don't worry about it , what software are you using.  And where did you go to get your mecp 1st class installer training.  I have looked in Cali and it seems that there is only one in LA the Installer institute.  Is that where you went.  I live in SAC CA and the closest traing for 12volt mobile mecp is in LA.

I use the Omega software. Actually, I'm not too far from Omega HQ so it's easy to deal with them. You don't have to go to a school to get certified. You can have any manufacturer's rep proctor exams (if you know any) or you can even have a local librarian do it. The best thing is to order MECP's study guide. It should come with all the info on setting up a test locally. You'll save alot of money doing it on your own. The only advice I can give is KNOW RELAYS. But that's only if you're going for first class security specialist.

I know this isn't as good as a burnt copy, but I had Omega's The Disc 2.0 added to our inventory for sale. If anyone wants a legit copy, we have them for $34.95 which includes shipping to anywhere in the lower 48 states. It's the best I can offer without getting in trouble. THANKS
