Jeep cherokee 98 electrical fault

let me guess u have a jeep G.cherokee,cherokee sport ,wrangler or any other member of it's clan which are known for loose ground problems,which may cause all kinds of (christeen) like problems like central lock failure ,your radio shutting down at high volumes ,power window failures and even making u'r instrument cluster go out of whack. i know this from personal experience on my cherokee sport when it took me ohhhh 7 months to find the loose ground behind the cluster or on one of my clients vehicles he has a G. cherokee that he bought used and someone had an aftermarket radio in it before they traded it in and left many of the old wiring loose behind OEM radio touching ground a and 6 ground wires connected to a ring connector just floating behind radio instead of bolted to chassis..alll in all it's definitly a GROUND PROBLEM  good luck finding it hope u post your results...Support the site.

Check the boot that runs into the driver door. Just pull it back and check for broken wires. Also check the entire truck for blown fuses. I worked on a Jeep that had a blown fuse in the passenger kick panel, and for some reason it made the interior lights, radio, hazard lights all act crazy (it was intermittent, which made it even harder to dianose).
