Mitsubishi galant Code

This may be a car where you need to have the radio removed from the dash just far enough to read a tag on the rear (or top) of the deck. There is a series of numbers and I believe an 800# for Mitsubishi. Either call the number yourself or write down the numbers on the tag and take it back to the dealership. Someone there at the 800# will ask you the series of numbers on the tag and they should be able to give you the code you need for the radio.

50 bucks I have never had to pay for a code....Usually its the same situation a customer has either unhooked their battery or just went dead...I usually just called the dealer gave them the VIN# or the number off the radio and no prob...This may have been cuz my shop is good friends with some of the local dealerships...

Go to a local audio shop see if they have a connection with a Mitsubishi dealership and can get you the code....

Them charging for that is Total BS....You may want to contact another dealer at least and see if they will be more helpful...

Mostly all dealerships do this.  I think its complete BS do this and to scan ECU's.  If you want to work on your own car its gonna cost you at least 70$ to get it scanned. 

Makes me want to get a old carby with points.  Plus the throttle responce is way better than EFI's..lol
