RMS of the sub is 400w. 800w peak...should i look at mono 400w amps? 2 channel? more watts, or does 400 fit perfectly?
Who make good amps, suggestions welcome.
Thanks!

let me tell you a little secret on these subs..They are extreamly underrated!!!!      You need to look into a higher power amp,   for a killer setup with one sub, from which I understand you only have one. I would run a fosgate 800.2   I know you can find these on ebay for $150-$250   I have sold 4 setups exactly like this now, 2 of which had custom boxes.      If you looking for a great streetable box design go with this 1.38cu ft internal, port with a tuning freq at 36hz will be 2wide by 12.5 high, by 31.5 length...let me know if you need any more help on this, I love these subs I think they are a great buy

Yeah those w6v2 hadle a good 500 watts rms.  I would look into a JBL, or the JL 500/1, or a MTX amp.

W6V2s are a great match with JL's 500/1, I had 2 of the 12W6V2 with 2 500/1s in my RSX-S, they sounded great and had a ton of output.

1000 watts?  To a 400 watt amp?  I wouldn't.  Yeah the sub can handle more than the 400 (probably 500 or even 600) but 1000?  But that amp puts out a true 1000 watts.  I would use that amp for a 12 or 13w7.  Keep to a 500 watt quality amp (aka not audiobahan :-).  The JL 500/1 is good, not sure bout the new mtx stuff but their amps from last year were some nice ones.
