in the past i've disconnected the whole chime, but in this truck, the chime is built into the pcm. i tried muffling it but not good unuff. is there a way to stop the signal from the keyswitch?

I have found the easiest way to keep the chime from activating is to just leave the key out of the ignition. After several years of studying I found this to be fool proof.

Or you could cut the keysense wire, whichever you prefer. Check for a wire diagram to make sure this is not a multifunction wire.
