I have a 99' Alero that I am trying to get the remotestart on and I am having a problem.I am using a UltraStart 1250 and a 555L for the bypass for the passlock II. I got everything done and the car starts for second then shuts down.I do know it is something to do with the passlock but I am stumped on what to do.I  found the yellow and the black wires. Does the blue wire on the 555L just need to see ground while the car is starting or does it have to rest at ground while it is running? Could it be that there is a ign. wire that I have over looked? Any help would be great.

Well if I ground it manualy when I push the start button it still just starts for a sec. or two then shuts down.If for some reason I have the yellow and BLACK / YELLOW backwards would it still start with the key? I don't think I have it backwards but I don't have the car here to check out.

On the 555L you will need the blue wire to go to the status output wire off your remote start.  After you put this to the status output wire you need and you have the 555L all hooked up you need to start the car and let it run for 5-10 seconds to program the 555L.
