first time poster, so please bare w/ me!
ive been reading various posts on how to hook my neon underbody kit to my alarm. i followed every diagram that i could find and tried all possiblities that i could. i was about to give up then i tried my own solution. i tapped into my parking lite, took that wire and tapped into the switch for my neons. it works (no relay) my neons also come on when i turn my headlights on and i also have a kill switch; just wondering if this will work permanetely or if it will do any damage??? also...
the installer that did my alarm did not install an led status lite; any suggestions on installing 1 myself or should i go back and get that done??
i have an audiovox pro 9842b alarm on a 94 mustang
thanx

What you have will work fine. It is suggested that you use a relay from the parking light wire to the switch, however, if its working fine now, I wouldnt worry about it.
As far as the LED for your alarm, they are very easy to install, however, different alarms to use slightly different plugs, thus would be easiest for you to just take it back to the shop and have them do it.

The LED should have nbeen installed in the first place so I would go back and get it done. As far as the light flash goes. I would suggest using a relay as well being that it will increase the amperage availible for the switch and Diode Isolate it from the park light circut. For the 3 minutes it takes its just a lot safer
