All i can suggest is keep looking and if you still dont find one then drill one.

Usually around the steering column.  Keep looking its there.  Look for a rubber grommet and remove that or trim it then feed the wire through

what i do man, like 12 times a week when i drill a firewall is normally look for where the throttle cable comes through from above the accelerator. go back and fourth a couple times and be sure to look for safe clearance. good luck and peace...

How I drill a hole, by stevdart:  ^^^everything they said.  Then use a small bit for the starter hole and feed a stiff wire through it until you see it extend out the other side.  Then you can pinpoint the area that would be best for drilling, if not the exact one you drilled.  (A small diameter bit has a proportionally lower chance of doing damage when you're mostly in the dark...and leaves less of a....well, hole....if it's not a good place.)
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
