I installed a bulldog remote start in a friends 2001 Oldsmobile Alero over 2 weeks ago everything was ok. He called me today and said he noticed that when he remote starts the vehicle and it times out after the 10minute runtime the radio keeps playing. How can I correct this or will the radio shut off on its own? I know that on this car if you shut it off with the key the radio keeps playing until door is opened. Any Ideas thanks.

pulse the drivers door pin with a rearm pulse, or wait the 10 minutes after shutdown for the radio to time out.

So from what extreme1 said the radio will shut off on its own after 10min after the engine has shut down?

yes that car has RAP or rattained accesory power, and the acc will stay on for up to 10mins after shutdown or if the drivers pin is pulsed, then it will shut down also.
