I cant remember if this was plexiglass or real glass, but I saw a glass guy on the show overhauling take a scoring tool,  score the glass and then he poured rubbing alcohol where he scored and lit it with a lighter and starting bending it back and forth with a pair of pliers. Then it seperated perfectly.

It helps if have a saw blade designed to cut plexiglass. The trouble is they run about $100 (and that's a good price). Routering works well, especially for cleaning up chipped edges. What are you trying to cut? What type of piece, what shape, what size and what thickness?

Generally a table saw for straight cuts, jig saw for rough cutting and a router for template/curves.

I've used a dremel with a carbide cutting bit to cut out intricate shapes, goes pretty quick, u just have to go over it again when its cut out to smooth up the edges.  I like the idea of scoring and using alcohol and lighting it....fire is good.   I have used a fine tooth blade on my table saw (when i had it) and it cut perfect lines no problem.

88 + tooth table saw blade is what I  use. You can go to Crappy Tire to get these for about $ 60 Canadian.

Hey so I was right, i'm telling you the scoring and burning thing was really cool. And it actually didnt look that hard to do, plus it made the cut completely clean no sanding and buffing later to make the cut clean.
