I just picked up a CrimeStopper SecurCAR CS-2004DC which I'll be installing into a 94 Civic EX Coupe.  My question is this.  Can (or should) I use the onboard relay for the horn output?  If needed, I can post up pics of the instructions/wiring diagram.
I only install things in my car, cuz I don't wanna screw up anybody elses...

The first thing you need to do is verify the maximum current draw from the vehicles horn. Check the fuse rating under the dash, or the engine bay this will tell you.
The next thing is to read what the current rating is on the alarm unit. If it is within the capabilities of the alarm systems internal relay, then yes hook it up.
If not, simply use an external 30-40 ampere relay. Remember, that a horn when first pulsed draws alot of current, opposed to simply being sounded continously given the same circumstances.
ie, Inrush current is higher during initial start up / firing of the horn.
Knowledge is power. But only if you apply that knowledge in a positive way, which promotes positive results in others.
