Alright.  I've got some money saved up now.  I've been talking about it for a while and want other's opinions now.  I'm currently running one Infinity kappa 100.3 se.  It's got 150 watts (with bass boost yeah i know but.... need a new amp).  I'm looking at a new sub.  The debate is between another kappa 100.3 se or a single JL w6v2 (either 10 or 12; not sure which one).  The JL handles 400 watts but the two kappas together handle 550ish watts.  Now in your opinion which will be better for sound quality, but still maintain some really good volume?  I'm able to get the Kappa for extremely cheap, but the JL is either at ebay cost or retail price.  So a big difference in the price.  Just wanted a second (and third or fourth...ect...) opinion.   Thanks guys.

I would go with a single 10w6v2 for sound quality,   They will pound hard too.   they take alot more power then they are recommened.

i would go the other route...the two kappas...just my opinion though...i know that one sub over two would actually be better for sq but you are also comparing jl to infinity...who is made by harman kardon...the largest audio dealer in the world...and infinity has a few more titles under their belt...i know that there are a lot more factors that come into play with those titles but i am an hk fan...i like the w6 and all but you said you are looking for sq and spl and well...its hard to argue against sub displacement for spl when in the right box and i have touched on the sq aspect...just my opinion though...you gotta go with whatever you think will make you happy in the longrun

Kappa Perfect or w6v2?  Oh geee, to bad, what a dilemma - i feel so sorry for you.

A few pro reviews.  Given personal experience and brand loyalty I would buy the w6v2 over the Infinity, both are superior subs though.
